Betis want Lo Celso on permanent deal from PSG


Real Betis want to sign Giovani Lo Celso on a permanent deal from Paris Saint-Germain, according to Marca.

The 22-year-old midfielder has impressed since joining the Spanish side on loan and they have the option to sign him at the end of the season for €25 million (£22m/$28m).

Betis are confident they can meet the terms to get the Argentine on a full-time basis.

How super signing Rooney revived D.C. United


Wayne Rooney's arrival at D.C. United in July raised plenty of eyebrows, but it has turned out to be a stroke of genius from the MLS side.

Juventus vice president Pavel Nedved says it "would be wonderful" to see Paul Pogba return to the Serie A side in January.

The club have been linked with making a loan move for the Manchester United midfielder, and although the former Juve star stopped short of confirming the rumours, he was happy to talk up the idea.

Garcia signs contract extension


Rudi Garcia has signed a contract extension with Marseille.

The French coach joined the Ligue 1 side in 2016 and guided them to the Europa League final last season.

Marseille have opted to reward him with a deal that runs until 2021 while sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta also renewed his deal.

Real Madrid scout Boca star Barrios


Real Madrid are considering a move for Boca Juniors star Wilmar Barrios after sending scouts to watch him, Marca reports.

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder has made over 50 appearances for the Argentine side since joining two years ago and has impressed the Madrid officials who checked him out.

Madrid believe they need to enhance their midfield options and see the Colombian as a good option and will consider making a move for him over the next two transfer windows.

PSG consider £50m bid for West Ham star


Paris Saint-Germain are ready to offer as much as £50 million ($64m) for West Ham star Issa Diop, says The Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old centre-back joined the Premier League side from Toulouse on a five-year contract in June and has quickly become a first team regular.

Diop is already attracting interest from big clubs, as PSG may have to fight off Manchester United for the France international.

Inter desperate to keep defender

Manchester United had a £65 million ($85m) bid rejected for Milan Skriniar, Gazzetta dello Sport claims.

The Red Devils are one of several clubs interested in Inter's star defender and have already made contact with the Serie A side.

However, the Premier League side's first bid was too low for Inter, who are determined to hold on to the 23-year-old.

Dembele in contention for Clasico start - Valverde


Although Ousmane Dembele's future at Barcelona has come under scrutiny, Ernesto Valverde has affirmed the winger could be in line to start on Sunday against Real Madrid.

With Lionel Messi missing, Barca are short of attacking options.

Lionel Messi wants Mohamed Salah to complete Barcelona's front line, according to Don Balon.

The Liverpool forward has begun to rediscover his form and the Reds are resigned to losing him this summer, though they will demand a similar fee to Philippe Coutinho.

Barcelona believe they can free up that money by selling Ousmane Dembele, and may look to include the France international in a deal for the Egypt star. 

Rooney: I won't go on loan to Europe this winter


D.C. United striker Wayne Rooney has confirmed that he will not go on loan to a European club this winter.

Several MLS stars have gone on loan in Europe during the offseason in the past, including David Beckham, Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey. 

Rooney has been in fine form since joining MLS, scoring 12 goals and adding seven assists, but has closed the door on a winter loan during the MLS offseason.

Bayern interested in €50 million Milenkovic


Bayern Munich have been told Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic has a price tag of €50 million (£45m/$57m), according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Serbian defender drew a host of European admirers after his World Cup in Russia, with Manchester United and Juventus among those interested.

The Bundesliga champs have shown the most initiative however, with Fiorentina basing their valuation on the reported worth of Matthijs de Ligt and Virgil Van Dijk's record fee last January.  

AC Milan are 'fine with Gattuso' says Rodriguez


AC Milan's players are behind under pressure head coach Gennaro Gattuso, according to Ricardo Rodriguez.

Gattuso claimed that it would be fair for his position to be under review, following defeats in the derby with Inter and in the Europa League to Real Betis.

But Rodriguez has insisted that Gattuso, who took charge in November 2017, has the squad's full backing.

Paris Saint-Germain will not sign disgruntled Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez in January, according to Le10Sport

Sanchez has not started a Premier League game for United since September and is rumoured to want out at Old Trafford, with PSG a possible destination. 

But the French side aren't able to pay the transfer fee Sanchez would demand due to Financial Fair Play constraints, and have prioritised signing a defensive midfielder over a winger. 

Man City set to lose Diaz


Manchester City are set to lose 19-year-old playmaker Brahim Diaz, who has yet to sign a new deal, according to ESPN FC. 

Diaz's current contract expires at the end of the season, and he will be free to negotiate with other clubs in January.

Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have been following Diaz, who, having made just two appearances this season, is frustrated with a lack of playing time at City. 

Inter tracking Havertz


Inter have sent scouts to watch Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz, reports Calciomercato.  

The 19-year-old has been tipped as one of Europe's top midfield prospects, with Arsenal among the teams reportedly interested.

Havertz has a contract through 2022 with Leverkusen, who will not accept less than €35 million (£31m/$40m) for their prized playmaker. 

West Ham to sign £26m Almiron


West Ham are set to win the race for Atlanta United star Miguel Almiron with a £26 million ($33m) bid, according to Ultima Hora.

There has been plenty of interest in the 24-year-old midfielder, with Arsenal and Tottenham both reportedly keen. 

But the Hammers have apparently won the race for the Paraguayan international, who has 12 goals and 14 assists in MLS this season.

Neville not surprised Martial turned down Man Utd offer


Gary Neville has said he isn't surprised at reports Anthony Martial has turned down a new contract at Manchester United.

The 22-year-old's contract is set to expire this summer, though the club has an option for next season, and Neville has declared he is "torn" on whether United should invest heavily in Martial.
