Conte has been offered a contract which would make him the highest paid manager in La Liga.

However, Conte believes Chelsea owner Abramovich's involvement in the manager's running of the team is why things went poorly for him in London, and he seeks assurances Perez won't do something similar in Madrid. 

West Ham debating loan for Mitroglou

Former Fulham striker Kostas Mitroglou is on the radar of West Ham for a possible loan move, reports the Daily Mail.

The 30-year-old Greek international struggled in London, but has since played well for Olympiacos, Benfica and Marseille.

However, Marseille want to trim their wage bill and are willing to loan Mitroglou out in hopes he can be moved on permanently.

Aymen Abdennour wants to end his loan at Marseille and find a new club in January, according to Plaza Deportiva.

The defender joined the French side on a two-year loan from Valencia in 2017 but has not played a single game this season.

Abdennour has not given up on getting back into the team, but he will try to make an early exit in the next transfer window if his situation does not change soon.

Valencia will have to move him on immediately after getting out of his commitment to Marseille, however, as they cannot afford to pay all of his wages.

Antonio Conte could still become Real Madrid manager, if he is given assurances in the transfer market.

Spanish outlet ABC have claimed the Italian will only take the job if Florentino Perez provides the required funds for him to sign Argentinian duo Mauro Icardi and Nicolas Otamendi.

The former Chelsea boss reportedly ruled himself out of the job earlier this week, with Roberto Martinez, Leonardo Jardim and Mauricio Pochettino also being linked with the role.

Ridgewell ready to come home

Portland Timbers defender Liam Ridgewell has claimed he would like to retire in England.

The former Aston Villa, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion man has been playing in America since 2014, but speaking to iNews, confirmed he plans to return to England soon.

“I’ve not played as much as I want this season and I want to finish my career back home,” he said.

Ridgewell’s contract expires at the end of the MLS season, meaning he could be available on a free in a few weeks.

Brighton boss Chris Hughton has warned that his skipper Shane Duffy will not be sold cheaply.

The Irish defender signed a contract extension at the Amex last month after an impressive start to the season, which has reportedly caught the eye of several other Premier League sides.

Maurizio Sarri has hinted that Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek will not leave the club on loan in the January transfer window, despite struggling to hold down a a regular place in the Blues starting XI.

In recent weeks the England international has been linked with a short-term move away from Stamford Bridge, as he did last year when he spent the season on loan at Crystal Palace.

However Sarri told football.london: “I think at the moment the situation is not for loan.

“He has improved, but he needs to improve more from the tactical point of view. The rest is good.”

Chelsea prepared for potential Hazard departure

Chelsea have already lined up a replacement for Eden Hazard, should the winger leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Maurizio Sarri believes Lyon star Nabil Fekir would be the ideal man to fill any potential void left by Hazard, according to Mercato365.

If the Blues wish to capture their target, Fekir could cost as much as £50m - a fee Liverpool agree with Lyon last summer before the deal collapsed.

Last year the Reds shelled out £70m on defender Virgil van Dijk, but according to Klopp things will be a bit different this campaign.
