Chelsea to return for Kounde in January

Chelsea will revive their interest in Jules Kounde in January if Sevilla lower their asking price to €50 million (£43m/$59m), according to ESPN.

Overmars in no rush to replace Edu at Arsenal

Former Arsenal star Marc Overmars has distanced himself from a return to north London to replace Gunners technical director Edu.

Edu has come in for plenty of criticism after Arsenal's dreadful start to the season, but maintains the club are on the right track and that issues off the pitch are to blame for poor results.

Reports had suggested Overmars – now director of football at Ajax – might be looked at to steady the ship, but the Dutchman insists he is happy where he is.

“I've been offered the opportunity to go elsewhere and I'm not getting any younger,” he told Ajax TV. “That's what happens and it's always good to consider a move.

“But then I just think about how well things are going here. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If your old shoes are still comfy, keep wearing them.”
