Juventus set Mandzukic price tag


Juventus have placed an €11 million (£10m/$12m) price tag on striker Mario Mandzukic, according to Calciomercato

Mandzukic has been linked with a move away from the Serie A side in January, with Al Rayyan and Manchester United among those reported to be interested.

The 33-year-old has a contract with the Turin side through the 2020-21 season.

Real Betis consider move for Can


Real Betis are eyeing a January move for Juventus midfielder Emre Can, according to Estadio Deportivo. 

Can has fallen out of favour under Maurizio Sarri and his exclusion from Juve's Champions League squad has left him considering his future. 

The 25-year-old has made just two Serie A appearances this season, playing a total of 59 minutes. 

Larsson to meet with Southend chairman over manager job


Southend chairman Ron Martin will fly to Sweden on Tuesday to meet with Henrik Larsson over his club's vacant managerial job. 

The former Celtic and Manchester United striker is a candidate but Martin has insisted that others, including current caretaker Gary Waddock, are also still in the mix.

"I am going to Stockholm in the morning, back in the afternoon, to meet potential back room staff but that's it, gathering information," Martin said. "There are five shortlisted candidates and Gary Waddock is certainly included."

Palace could return for Chalov


Crystal Palace could return with a summer bid for CSKA Moscow forward Fedor Chalov, according to the player's agent. 

The 21-year-old Russia international nearly moved to Palace this summer but a transfer ultimately did not materialise.

"I talked with Roy Hodgson and he really likes the player," Sandor Varga told Championat. "I don't want to exclude the possibility of another move for him next summer."

Al Rayyan in talks for Costa


Qatari side Al Rayyan are in talks for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa, according to AS

Al Rayyan are pushing hard to sign the 30-year-old this winter but if they don't succeed, they will return for him in the summer. 

Atletico would prefer to hold onto Costa for the rest of this season rather than lose a player they still rely on in the middle of the campaign.

Allegri keen on Man Utd job


United not currently considering Solskjaer sack

Massimilano Allegri is learning English with an eye to taking over at Manchester United, reports the Guardian

Allegri has been out of work since the summer, when he cut ties with Juventus following four consecutive Serie A titles.

And he has set his sights on Old Trafford, although United currently have no plans to part ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite a poor start to the season.

Former Lyon coach Bruno Genesio has claimed that he, and not Steve Bruce, was Newcastle United's first choice to take over as manager.

Pepe admits he's lost confidence after slow start at Arsenal


Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe has admitted that he's lost some confidence after a slow start to life at Arsenal. 

Pepe joined the Gunners from Lille this summer in a £72 million ($88m) move after a season in which he scored scored 22 league goals in 38 games.

But the Ivory Coast international has yet to find that same form thus far with Arsenal, having scored just one goal - a penalty - in eight total matches with the club.

Former Porto employee Vitor Matos has joined Liverpool as part of Jurgen Klopp's backroom staff, the club confirmed on Tuesday. 

Matos' last role was with the Portuguese giants' B team, where he acted as assistant coach. 

But he will now link up with Klopp to hone the Reds' promises in a developmental role, having also accrued experience in China.

Manchester United have been keeping a close eye on Lyon striker ​Moussa Dembele, reports Le10Sport

Though Lyon are off to a poor start this season, the 23-year-old striker has managed six goals in seven Ligue 1 appearances. 

Lyon purchased Dembele for €22 million (£20m/$24m) from Celtic last season, and would likely demand at least double that from the Red Devils.

Roma are eyeing a move for Wolves winger Adama Traore, according to ​CalcioMercatoWeb.

With Diego Perotti suffering from injuries, the Serie A side view Traore as a potential replacement either in January or in the summer. 

Traore, 23, joined Wolves from Middlesbrough in August 2018. 

Thiago Silva hoping for PSG stay


PSG defender Thiago Silva is hoping to extend his stay with the club.

Silva, 35, will see his contract expire at the end of the season but he is still an important figure for the Ligue 1 side.

"I feel good right now, very relaxed. I know my qualities, what I have brought and what I can still bring," Silva said at a news conference.

"At the end of this season, I hope we will have done what we are capable of doing. We will see if the club wants to extend my contract."

Man Utd's transfer add-on bill reaches £74m


Manchester United face a potential bill of £74.3 million ($91m) in transfer add-ons alone, according to The Times. 

The club have looked to defer payments in signing players such as Harry Maguire, Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Fred and Diogo Dalot in recent seasons.

As such, the club face an all-time high in transfer add-ons, having a bill of just £44.6m ($55m) in June 2017.

On loan at Real Sociedad, Los Blancos have no interest in recalling him next season and could sell him in the summer. They will ask for €80 million for the starlet.

Chelsea could recall Ugbo from loan
