AC Milan target Martinez Quarta


AC Milan are looking to sign River Plate defender Lucas Martinez Quarta, reports TyC Sports. 

The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Europe for some time and Milan are looking to push a deal over the line before the transfer window shuts on September 2.

Martinez Quarta has a release clause of €22 million (£20m/$24m).

Rakitic could join Juventus on loan


Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic could join Juventus on a one-year loan with an option to buy, claims Sport

Juventus had offered Emre Can as part of a swap deal but Barca were not interested in landing the Germany international.

The ball is now in Rakitic's court as the Croatian must decide whether to move on or stay and fight for minutes at Barca.

Adebayor signs for Kayserispor


Former Arsenal, Man City and Tottenham forward Emmanuel Adebayor has signed with Kayserispor on a one-year deal.

The 35-year-old joins the Super Lig side after spending three seasons with Istanbul Basaksehir, where he scored 28 goals in 76 appearances.

Busquets joins Twente on loan from Barcelona


Barcelona midfielder Oriol Busquets has joined FC Twente on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old missed most of last season with a serious injury and will now spend this campaign in the Eredivisie. 

Busquets entered La Masia at age eight and made his senior debut for Barcelona in 2017.

Ghezzal in talks over Olympiakos move


Olympiakos are in talks with Leicester City over a move for winger Rachid Ghezzal, according to Sky Sports.

Ghezzal, 27, joined the Foxes from Monaco last summer but failed to make a big impact at the King Power Stadium.

The Algerian has yet to feature under Brendan Rodgers this season. 

PSV land Doan from Groningen


PSV have signed Japanese international winger Ritsu Doan from FC Groningen.

Doan, 21, scored 14 Eredivisie goals and added seven assists over two seasons with Groningen.

"We wanted to add another versatile attacker to our ream," said PSV director of football John de Jong. "Doan fits our profile perfectly and that is why I am very pleased that we came to an agreement with FC Groningen."

Casey to leave Rapids


Former Colorado Rapids interim head coach Conor Casey has left the club, The Athletic reports. 

Casey served as the club's interim since the start of May, but was replaced when the club hired Robin Fraser as permanent boss on Sunday.

Casey was offered the chance to stay on as an assistant coach with the Rapids but declined the opportunity. 

Cabaye joins Saint-Etienne on a free


Yohan Cabaye has signed with Saint Etienne, the club announced on Tuesday.

The midfielder moves to the club on a free transfer, having left Al-Nasr in January.

Cabaye, 33, has previously featured for Lille, Newcastle, Paris Saint-Germain and Crystal Palace.

Icardi determined to stay with Inter


Mauro Icardi is determined to remain at Inter, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The club is reiterated to the forward that there is no place for him in the team, but Icardi wants to remain despite that fact.

Icardi has insisted that he wants to stay with the team as he is not open to a move at this time.

Lokomotiv confirm Mario signing


Lokomotiv Moscow have confirmed the signing of Joao Mario from Inter.

The Portuguese midfielder moves to Russia on loan having previously been loaned to West Ham in 2018.

Locadia nears Hoffenheim move


Jurgen Locadia is drawing interest from Hoffenheim, according to AD.

Hoffenheim are in need of a striker having seen a pursuit of Ajax's Kasper Dolberg rebuffed.

And Locadia is a player looking for more playing time as the Brighton striker has interest in joining the German side. 

Martinez happy with Lukaku's Man Utd exit


Belgium boss Roberto Martinez says that Romelu Lukaku's move to Inter is a good one for the striker, who the coach believes had become "bored" at Old Trafford.

Lukaku scored on his Inter debut on Monday, a 4-0 battering of Lecce.

‘Sometimes you just get bored’ – Martinez on Lukaku's Man Utd exit


Belgium manager Roberto Martinez was happy to see Romelu Lukaku join Inter from Man Utd, saying that sometimes players grow bored at a club. 

The Belgium international joined Inter in a deal worth €80 million (£74m/$90m) this month, and made a strong start to life with his new club by scoring in Monday's 4-0 win over Lecce.

Barcelona confident of swift conclusion to Neymar deal


The Blaugrana have made an offer of €160 million for the Brazilian

Barcelona are confident they will be able to land Neymar from PSG before the transfer window shuts on September 2. 

Goal can confirm that the two clubs met for face-to-face talks in Paris on Tuesday afternoon, with the Barca delegation including CEO Oscar Grau, the man with the keys to the club's treasury.

Barca made an offer of €160 million (£144m/$177m) plus bonuses for the Brazilian, with PSG asking for €100m (£90m/$111m) plus full-back Nelson Semedo.

Arsenal won't stop Monreal from joining Real Sociedad


Arsenal will allow left-back Nacho Monreal to join Real Sociedad this week, according to The Sun.

Monreal, 33, will see his contract expire at season's end, and is aware he will not be offered a new deal to stay on with the Gunners.

Arsenal would ask for a fee of around £3 million should Monreal decide to join Sociedad prior to the September 2 transfer deadline.  

Nashville SC signs Mukhtar as first DP


Nashville SC has signed midfielder Hany Mukhtar from Brondby as the club's first Designated Player.

Mukhtar, 24, will remain on loan with the Danish club until January 2020, when he will link up with the expansion side ahead of its first MLS season.

The former Germany youth international has tallied 22 goals and 27 assists in 94 career league matches for Brondby.

Schick nears RB Leipzig loan with €28m purchase option


Roma forward Patrik Schick is closing in on a season-long loan move to RB Leipzig, Goal can confirm.

The Bundesliga side will hold an option to purchase Schick at the end of the season for €28 million (£25m/$31m).

With Schick on his way out of the club, Roma are set to look toward Atletico Madrid's Nikola Kalinic as an option for striker depth.

Reims snap up Austria youth star


Stade Reims have completed the capture of Sturm Graz teenager Dario Maresic, the club has confirmed.

The 19-year-old, who won the 2017-18 Austrian Cup, arrives at the Ligue 1 club to boost manager David Guion's defensive options.

Robben not ruling out shock return


Retired former Netherlands winger Arjen Robben has not ruled out the possibility of resuming his playing career.

The 35-year-old called time on a 19-year period as a professional in July.

He won league titles in Germany, Holland, England and Spain and says he could consider returning to the pitch if he struggles with life after the game.

Imbula subject of Lecce offer


Outcast Stoke City midfielder Giannelli Imbula is wanted by Italian side Lecce, according to reports.

The club's £18.3 million (€20m / $22.5m) record signing is currently training with Stoke's under-23 side but the Serie A side have offfered to loan him for the season, according to Stoke-On-Trent Live.

Italian journalist Sacha Tavolieri says Lecce, who lost their opening game 4-0 to Inter, would only be prepared to pay €4m (£3.5m / $4.5m) to make the deal permament.


Mainz confirm Szalai capture


Mainz have announced the return of Adam Szalai on a two-year deal, the club has confirmed.

The Hungarian previously played for the club between 2010 and 2013, after initially arriving from Real Madrid on loan.

He departs Hoffenheim, who he joined in 2014.

Roma back in for Lovren


Roma are ready to make a fresh move for Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren, reports Corriere dello Sport.

They claim the Serie A side have switched their attentions to the Croatian after a move for Juventus defender Daneile Rugani hit trouble.

Lovren has still not featured for the Reds this season although manager Jurgen Klopp has always insisted he will not be allowed to move during the European transfer window which shuts on Monday.

Napoli 'always first choice' for Lozano


Hirving Lozano has revealed that Napoli were always his first choice after he was unveiled as the Italian club's latest new signing on Tuesday.

The Mexico international, who had been linked with Manchester United in the past, completed a move to join Carlo Ancelotti's side from PSV for a reported fee of €42 million (£39m/$47m) on August 23.

He insists that his new team possesses a squad that is capable of competing at the top of Serie A, while he has promised to give his all for the cause in whatever position Ancelotti chooses to play him.

Alexis Sanchez will not play any Premier League matches for Manchester United if the club fail to offload him before the end of the transfer window, per The Times.

The Red Devils have resumed talks with Inter over a loan move for the striker, who has failed to settle at Old Trafford since his arrival from Arsenal.

If he remains, he will only be in conention for Europa League and Carabao Cup encounters.

Werner came close to Bayern move


Timo Werner agreed terms with Bayern Munich over a move earlier this transfer window, only for the latter to stall on the move, says Sky Sports Germany.

Werner, who has now penned an extension with RB Leipzig, was heavily expected to join the Bundesliga champions.

But the Bavarian club went silent on talks with the striker while trying to finalise a move for either this year or 2020, leaving him to reaffirm his commitment to their rivals.

Roma are back in the market for Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren, reports Corriere dello Sport.

They claim the Crotian centre back is on their radar again after a move for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani hit problems.

Lanzini close to new West Ham deal


Manuel Lanzini is close to agreeing a new long-term deal with West Ham, says Sky Sports News.

The Argentine's current contract runs out in 12 months, though the Hammers do have the option to extend it.

However, the Premier League outfit wish to tie the attacking midfielder down beyond 2022 to keep him at London Stadium.

Barcelona to make third bid for Neymar


Barcelona officials are in Paris to make a third bid for Neymar, according to ESPN.

Barca have had two previous bids rejected but are hopeful that their latest package will be accepted by Paris St Germain.

It is believed the Spanish champions will make a renewed bid to take Neymar back on loan until the end of the season with an option to make it permanent next summer for a fee of €170 million (£154m /$189m).


Liverpool reject Fiorentina bid for Duncan


Liverpool say they have no plans to let highly-rated young striker Bobby Duncan leave Anfield after rejecting an offer from Fiorentina.

The Liverpool Echo reports the Italian outfit offered to take the 18-year-old on loan for the season with a view to a permament deal for €1.8 million (£1.6m) if he impressed.

Lafferty moves to Norway


Former Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty has joined Norwegian club Sarpsborg 08.

The 31-year-old had a second spell at Ibrox last season but was released in July.

Sarpsborg are currently bottom of the Norwegian Eliteserien.

Schalke not keen on Mounie


Schalke are not in pursuit of Huddersfield Town's Steve Mounie, pouring water over the idea of a reunion between the striker and former boss David Wagner, says the Huddersfield Examiner.

Former Terriers honcho Wagner is back in Germany, but has passed up on the chance of bringing his old forward back to his side.

Real Madrid are doubling down on their pursuit of Sporting star Bruno Fernandes as the transfer deadline looms, per Mundo Deportivo.

The Portugal midfielder enjoyed a superb season in 2018-19 and has been strongly linked with a move to one of a number of European heavyweights this year.

Madrid have famed agent Jorge Mendes leading negotiations in their quest to bring Fernandes to Santiago Bernabeu.

Torino join hunt for Laxalt


Torino have joined Serie A rivals Atalanta in pursuit of Milan's Diego Laxalt, according to Gianluca DiMarzio.

The winger made only six starts for the Rossoneri last season and has been linked with an exit from San Siro.

Torino could stand to land Laxalt if they succeed in their Europa League play-off clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers, offering the bonus of European football for the Uruguay international.

Tosun staying at Everton


Everton striker Cenk Tosun will be staying at the club this season following rumours of a move to Eintracht Frankfurt, says Turkish Football.

The Turkey international is yet to make an appearance this season for the Toffees but will remain on Merseyside, having settled there with his family.

The 28-year-old began his junior career with Frankfurt, where he was a Germany youth international.

Roma wait on Schick exit to claim Kalinic


Roma will have to offload Patrik Schick if they want to be able to bring Atletico Madrid forward Nikola Kalinic to the club, says Gianluca DiMarzio.

The Czech forward has been linked with a move to RB Leipzig, but until he departs, the Serie A club cannot bring the Croatian from Serie A to the Italian capital.

They are still hopeful of bringing Kalinic's international team-mate Dejan Lovren from Liverpool too, to shore up their defence at the back.

Man City tracking Hearts starlet


Manchester City are monitoring teenage Hearts defender Aaron Hickey with a view to making a move in January, reports the Scottish Sun.

They claim the 17-year-old came to the attention of Pep Guardiola during May's Scottish Cup Final defeat by Celtic.

Hickey has continued to establish himself this season and a move south for £1.5 million (€1.65m) could be on the cards as a potential addition to City's development squad.

Eriksen resigned to stay with Tottenham


Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen now seems certain to remain with the club despite openly admitting his dream of a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona.

The Daily Mail reports that the Dane's hopes have faltered as bids from either of the Spanish giants have failed to materlialise and now seem unlikely to happen before the European transfer window closes next Monday.

Alexis Sanchez is set to complete his Inter move soon as a deal is imminent, according to Corrire della Serra.

The Chilean will arrive as part of a loan deal with Inter paying €5 million (£4.5 million/$5.55 million) to sign him.

Inter have made move for Sanchez with a loan of Joao Mario to Lokomotiv Moscow.

Inter near Biraghi deal


Inter are closing in on the signing of Cristiano Biraghi, according to Sky Sports.

The club is set to complete a deal with Fiorentina in the coming hours as the left-back will move to Inter.

As a result, the future of Dalbert remains up in the air as the Brazilian decided whether or not to join Fiorentina.

Barcelona plan face-to-face Neymar talks


The La Liga champions are making a last-ditch attempt to sign the Brazilian.

Barcelona are planning a second face-to-face meeting with Paris Saint-Germain representatives over the potential signing of Neymar, according to Esports RAC1.

Despite the difficult nature of any deal to land the Brazilian, Barca are meeting with the Ligue 1 club to see if there is any possibility of re-signing their former player.

However, negotiations have not been particularly positive so far and the Catalan giants are keen to make a last-ditch effort to land the 27-year-old forward.


Premier League to discuss summer transfer deadline


Premier League clubs are considering discussing whether or not to change the summer transfer deadline next season, according to Sky Sports.

The English window shuts nearly a month before the European one this summer and several clubs are keen to extend it.

In 2017, fourteen clubs voted in favour of a change in this window, with five voting against and one - Burnley - abstaining.

Fanni signs for Montreal Impact


French defender Rod Fanni has returned to sign a one-year deal with Montreal Impact, the club have announced.

Fanni had joined Impact in 2018 from Marseille and made 27 appearances for them in all competitions, scoring once.

The Frenchman, 37, can play at both right-back and centre-back. 

Fenerbache want Schick


Fenerbahce want to sign Roma forward Patrik Schick, according to Skor.

The Czech striker, 23, scored five goals and registered three assists from 32 appearances in all competitions last term.

However, he didn't feature in Roma's opening game of the season and could be tempted to leave following Edin Dzeko's signing a new contract.

Barca see Neymar signing as impossible


Barcelona believe that signing Neymar is essentially a lost cause, according to El Chiringuito.

Barca have spent heavily in the window so far, bringing in Antoine Griezmann and have been trying to use players as makeweights.

However, Philippe Coutinho's departure has meant the loss of a major option in those negotiations and it looks increasingly likely that the Brazilian will stay in France.
