Thiago speculates on Bayern future


Thiago Alcantara expects to spend many more years at Bayern Munich and has no thoughts about leaving the club.

The midfielder has been linked with a return to former side Barcelona, but his contract with the German giants runs until 2021.

And the 28-year-old insists he is happy to remain in Munich for the time being, saying: “I feel fantastic, my family are very happy. The quality of life is incredibly good in Munich, so why not [stick around]?”

Sarri wants Kante & Emerson reunion at Juventus


Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri hopes to bring two of his former Chelsea players to Italy, according to reports in Italy.

Sarri has had a solid start to life in Turin, but is eager to strengthen his side further as they look to compete for the Champions League title and maintain their domestic dominance.

The coach sees Blues and France star midfielder N'Golo Kante as an ideal addition to his team, while Emerson Palmieri is the ideal candidate to help them at full-back.

Chelsea, however, do not want to sell either and are in talks with Emerson over a new contract.

Phil Foden should consider leaving Manchester City in January to find first-team football elsewhere, says Stuart Pearce.

Inter to move for Matic in January


Inter are ready to make a cut-price bid for Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic in January, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The 31-year-old Serbia international has fallen out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, making just four starts in all competitions.

He is out of contract at the end of the season so would be available on a free transfer, meaning United may look to cash-in while they still can during the winter window.

The Rossoneri have been disappointed with the progress of Davide Calabria, while doubts remain about Andrea Conti.

Man Utd prioritise Koulibaly signing


Kalidou Koulibaly is top of Manchester United's centre-back shortlist, according to the Daily Express.

The Red Devils have struggled despite making Harry Maguire the most expensive centre-back in the world and are targeting further reinforcements.

They have also been linked with Benfica's Ruben Dias, but the Napoli man is their top target.

Barca to offer Messi 'lifelong contract'


Barcelona are set to offer Lionel Messi a 'lifelong contract', according to Cadena SER.

In practice, the deal will run until at least 2022, but club president Josep Maria Bartomeu wants to maintain the link between the Argentine and the club for as long as possible.

Even when Messi retires from football, Barca will offer their club legend opportunities to remain involved with the club.

The La Liga giants have prioritised the signing of a centre-forward as their next major acquisition.

Barcelona are looking for a star striker to replace Luis Suarez either this summer or next, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The club's top target is Kylian Mbappe, with Harry Kane a close second as Real Madrid appears to be the Frenchman's preferred destination.

There has been some consideration of Roberto Firmino, while a younger option such as Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Rashford is also a possibility.

Manchester United reportedly tried to sign Antoine Griezmann and Fernando Llorente in the summer, according to The Athletic.

The pair were targeted to replace Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, who both moved to Inter.

However, Griezmann joined Barcelona and Llorente went to Napoli, leaving United short of cover up front.

Calciomercato say that Claudio Ranieri is sure to be the next manager of Sampdoria.

The former Chelsea and Leicester City boss will sign a contract worth £2 million for this season, and the deal will automatically renew next campaign if he can keep the Genoa club up.
