Robertson reveals aborted Stoke move


Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson claims he very nearly joined Stoke City instead of Jurgen Klopp’s side before the start of last season.

The former Hull City defender left the Tigers for Anfield in July 2017 for a fee believed to be in the region of £8 million ($10m).

Sevilla consider deal to re-sign Iborra


Leicester City midfielder Vicente Iborra could be set for a return to former club Sevilla, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Iborra, 30, spent four years at Sevilla between 2013 and 2017 before joining the Foxes at the start of last season.

However, the Spaniard has struggled for gametime since his arrival in the Premier League and could be set to seek an exit sooner rather than later.

Sevilla midfielder Maxime Gonalons has recently been sidelined with injury and its claimed that the La Liga side are considering an attempt to try and lure Iborra back to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium as cover.

Barcelona and Liverpool chasing Jovic


Benfica striker Luka Jovic, who is enjoying an excellent season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, is being closely watched by both Barcelona and Liverpool, according to German publication Bild.

Catalan giants Barcelona are said to have had scouts in attendance to watch Jovic during Serbia's recent clash against Montenegro.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are also said to be keeping a close eye on Jovic's performances in the Bundesliga, with the intentions of signing him to compete with Roberto Firmino.

Jovic has scored nine goals in nine league games for Eintracht Frankfurt this season.

Juventus step up Rashford chase


England forward a target for Serie A Champions

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is a transfer target for Juventus, according to The Times.

The Italian giants are said to have compiled a dossier on the 21-year-old and recently made 'discreet checks' on the player's background and character.

Rashford is contracted to United until 2020, with the Red Devils also having the option of extending that by a further year.

The Manchester-born striker will want assurances over gametime if he's to sign a new deal with his boyhood club and it seems Juventus are ready to pounce if he decides to move on.

Besiktas keen to tie up Hernandez deal


West Ham striker Javier Hernandez is the subject of interest from Besiktas, according to Fanatik.

The former Manchester United forward is finding opportunities hard to come by this season, with Marko Arnautovic firmly established as Manuel Pellegrini's first choice striker.

This report claims that Besiktas would like to sign Hernandez on loan in January, with club president Fikret Orman apparently set to fly to London for negotiations.

The Turkish giants are searching for reinforcements in attack having sold Cenk Tosun and Alvaro Negredo earlier this year.

Real to look for new striker in January


The European champions are reportedly looking to bolster their forward line having lost faith in both Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema, according to Sport via the Express.

Madrid have struggled for goals since Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus in the summer, and it is thought they may look to strengthen when the transfer window opens in the new year.

Club president Florentino Perez is believed to favour an experienced forward, with Monaco's Radamel Falcao and LA Galaxy's Zlatan Ibrahimovic being touted as short term solutions.

Arnautovic happy at West Ham - Cole


Marko Arnautovic is happy at West Ham and has no desire to leave, according to ex-Hammer Carlton Cole, as per Sky Sports.

The Austrian has reportedly attracted the attention of Manchester United and Chelsea with his eye-catching displays so far this season, but former West Ham player Cole believes the forward is content at the London Stadium.

He said: "Do you know what, he's happy at this club. I don't think he's looking actively to go and leave. He's loved here."

Suarez wants Barca stay despite Premier League links


Denis Suarez is determined to stay at Barcelona this season, despite reports Chelsea and Arsenal are plotting a January move for him.

The midfielder has featured just once for the Spanish champions this term and has apparently attracted interest from the Premier League.

However, ESPN say the 24-year-old has no plan to leave Camp Nou and will see out the remainder of the season with Ernesto Valverde's men.

Man Utd urged to buy two defenders


Dimitar Berbatov has warned Manchester United that they need two more centre-backs to strengthen their defence.

The Red Devils tried to sign a new defender before the season began but were left disappointed after pursuing Kalidou Koulibaly and Toby Alderweireld.

And ex-United and Tottenham star Berbatov believes they still need to invest in that area.

"In every other position they have several quality players and everything they need, so just defence needs reinforcing," he said. "Hopefully they can find one or two and then they should be okay."

Thomas Vermaelen could be set for a move back to the Premier League, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Belgian defender has made just three appearances for Barcelona this season and is out injured once again with a hamstring problem.

Vermaelen is in the last year of his contract with the Catalan side, and Watford and Southampton could be ready to follow up on their interest.

Juventus could send Kean on loan to Dutch club


Juventus may send Moise Kean on loan to Eredivisie team PEC Zwolle.

The 18-year-old Italy Under 21 international has been tipped for big things, but the Bianconeri are considering sending him out on a second loan spell.

The striker's agent, Mino Raiola, has strong connections with PEC Zwolle and previously delivered ex-Juventus player Ouasim Bouy to the Dutch side on loan.

And Zwolle's head scout Ben Hendrix has suggested he will try to get Kean on a temporary spell, but admits it will be difficult.

"Certainly for Kean it will be difficult and will depend a lot on Juventus," he said.

Real Madrid plot January bid for De Jong


Race for Ajax star heats up

Real Madrid are set to open talks with Ajax over a January move for Frenkie de Jong, Sport reports.

Barcelona and Manchester City have been linked with the Dutch midfielder recently, while Ajax have insisted they will hold on to him until the summer at least.

But Madrid are not willing to wait that long as they see De Jong as the ideal successor to Luka Modric and will try to bring him to the Spanish capital at the turn of the year.

The MLS side will reportedly have competition from a French club, but the Canadian club could be willing to make a €10 million (£9m/$11m) which would represent a gain for the Spanish club on the €8m (£7m/$9m) the club spent on the Algerian last year.

Piatek eyes move to a big club after blistering Genoa start


Krzysztof Piatek is eyeing a move to a big club after making a blistering start to the new Serie A season.

The Genoa forward has registered 13 goals in 13 games in Italy and is hoping to find himself at a bigger club in the near future. 

"The dream of those who come to Genoa is that they use it as a stepping stone towards a big club," Piatek told Corriere della Sera.

"If I continue this way, I could sign for a big club. My objective is to play in the Champions League."
