Ranieri considering move for Simpson

Fulham manager Claudio Ranieri is considering a January move for Leicester City defender Danny Simpson, according to the Daily Mail.

Ranieri managed Simpson during the pair's time at Leicester, where they famously won a title in 2015-16. 

The 31-year-old is out of contract next summer, and the Foxes are weighing up cashing in on him this January. 

Watford terminate Kaboul contract

Watford have terminated the contract of defender Younes Kaboul by mutual consent.

Kaboul joined Watford from Sunderland in a reported £4 million deal in August 2016, and featured frequently in his first season. 

However, the 32-year-old has not played for Watford in 15 months, having dealt with several injury issues.

Sheffield Wednesday to offer Bruce £2m per year

Sheffield Wednesday have offered Steve Bruce £2 million per year to take over as manager, according to The Sun. 

The Owls have sacked Jos Luhukay after a poor run of results, and currently sit 18th in the Championship. 

Bruce has been without a job since he was sacked by Aston Villa in October. 

Crew sign Valenzuela on permanent transfer

The Columbus Crew have signed left-back Milton Valenzuela on a permanent transfer from Argentine side Newell's Old Boys.

The 20-year-old played the 2018 season with Columbus on loan, and has now joined full-time as a Young Designated Player.

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has refused to discuss reports his side were set to move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

PSG sporting director Antero Henrique has claimed Barca made a "disrespectful proposal" for the 23-year-old, who is set to leave PSG at the end of the season.

De Boer the frontrunner for Atlanta United

Frank de Boer is the favourite to become the next manager of Atlanta United, reports The Athletic.

The 48-year-old most recently managed Crystal Palace, and also was in charge of Inter following a successful six-year spell at the helm of Ajax

De Boer would replace Tata Martino, who led Atlanta to the MLS Cup title in 2018 before leaving to take charge of Mexico's national team. 

Moses set to join Crystal Palace for £12m

Chelsea winger Victor Moses is set to join Crystal Palace in a £12 million ($15m) deal in January, The Sun claims. 

Moses has fallen out of favour under Maurizio Sarri, having made just five appearances in all competitions this season. 

Wolves and West Ham were also interested in the 28-year-old, but Moses appears to be heading for Selhurst Park, where he played from 2007 to 2010. 

Sarri: Drinkwater can leave Chelsea if he wants

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has said that midfielder Danny Drinkwater can leave Chelsea if he so chooses. 

Drinkwater's only appearance this season came in the Community Shield back in August, with the 28-year-old not fitting into Sarri's preferred 4-3-3 system.

PSG look to bolster midfield

Paris Saint-Germain have shortlisted the trio of Fabinho, Idrissa Gana Gueye and Cesc Fabregas as midfield options as they look to improve that area of the squad in January, according to L'Equipe.

Blaise Matuidi was sold to Juventus in the summer, Thiago Motta retired and the Ligue 1 giants are now facing the increasingly likely departure of Adrien Rabiot, leaving them desperately short of options in the centre of the park.

Fabinho seems an improbable capture given that he's just moved to Liverpool, but Gueye and Fabregas are viable and relatively inexpensive options.

U.S. U-20 Ledezma signs with PSV

Boca Juniors ask Mourinho to take manager's job

Boca Juniors have discussed with Jose Mourinho the possibility of becoming the club's manager, according to TNT Sports.

Mourinho recently called Boca director of football Nico Burdisso to congratulate him on his role with the club and, as part of that conversation, Burdisso asked the Portuguese about his thoughts of managing the Argentinian club.

The manager recently departed Manchester United and, in a recent interview, said he wishes to live a normal life until his eventual return to the game. 

Ramsey to Inter in January?

Aaron Ramsey reportedly has a verbal agreement to join Inter on a free transfer at the end of the season, but manager Luciano Spalletti wants to bring the deal forward to January, according to Football Italia.

The Welshman's contract negotiations have stalled with Arsenal over wages, and Inter are reportedly prepared to meet his lucrative €6m-7m per season demands.

However, Spalletti is desperate to bring the midfielder in immediately and the club's hierarchy are considering a January proposal.

Rice set to commit to Ireland

West Ham's Declan Rice could be set to commit his international future to the Republic of Ireland, according to The Irish Times.

The teenager had been holding out from committing his allegiances in the hope that he could break into the England set-up, but his mind appears to have been changed.

Since the departure of Martin O'Neill as head coach, replacement Mick McCarthy has reportedly made securing the services of Rice a priority and it seems his efforts have paid off.

Chelsea eyeing Fekir?

Fekir was on the verge of a move to Liverpool in the summer but the deal collapsed over a failed medical.

However, Chelsea are now keen to bring the Frenchman to Stamford Bridge as Maurizio Sarri looks to bolster his squad, although the Blues may be forced to wait until the end of the season.

Emery - Ozil has a future here

Unai Emery stated that seemingly out-of-favour midfielder Mesut Ozil does have a future at the club, despite the fact that he has started just one game since November 11 - a dead-rubber Europa League game with Qarabag.

Ozil has been linked with plenty of clubs since being omitted from Arsenal's matchday squad in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup for "tactical reasons", with Real Madrid and Inter specifically cited.

However, Emery informed a press conference that the German would be in the squad for Saturday's Premier League fixture against Burnley, and when asked if he had a future at Arsenal, responded with, "Yes, why not?"

Juve after De Ligt

Juventus are chasing Ajax's teenage sensation Matthijs De Ligt, who is reportedly a Barcelona transfer target, according to Tuttosport.

The 19-year-old centre-back won this year's Golden Boy award and Juve defenders Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli were reportedly instructed to try and convince him to join the club during the ceremony in Turin.

However, the Dutch wonderkid has long been a target for Barcelona, although Juve representatives are hoping that a €75m fee plus young striker Moise Kean will be enough to see off their Spanish rivals.

Gattuso quashes Higuain talk

Arsenal are willing to sell Mesut Ozil in January but fear his £350,000 a week wages will put off potential suitors, according to The Mirror.

The Germany international has only started 11 of Arsenal's 26 games this season after failing to fit into new boss Unai Emery's tactical system.

Ozil was left out of Arsenal's squad for their Carabao Cup tie against Tottenham in midweek for 'tactical reasons' and after the game Emery refused to confirm whether the midfielder had a long-term future at the club.
