Three Serie B teams interested in Rossi


Three Serie B teams are interested in free agent Giuseppe Rossi, according to Tuttosport.

The 32-year-old has been without a club since leaving Genoa at the end of the 2017-18 season. 

But Empoli, Frosinone and Cremonse are all interested in giving Rossi a shot at a comeback.

Fekir's former agent explains failed Liverpool move


Nabil Fekir's former agent has said that the player's entourage was partly to blame for his failed Liverpool move in the summer of 2018.

Fekir, then with Lyon, was on the verge of a £53 million (€60m/$66m) transfer, but Liverpool backed out at the last minute.

Bertolacci to sign with Sampdoria


Former Milan midfielder Andrea Bertolacci is set to sign a one-year deal with Sampdoria, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.

The 28-year-old was on Milan's books for four seasons, spending the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Genoa

Hakimi wants to make an impact at Real Madrid


Achraf Hakimi has said that he hopes to eventually be a success at parent club Real Madrid.

The full-back is in the second season of a two-year loan to Borussia Dortmund, where he has established himself as a key figure.

Though Dortmund are hoping to sign the Morocco international permanently, he is hoping that one day he can become an important player at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Jesus swats away Bayern rumours


Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has swatted away reports linking him to Bayern Munich.

Earlier this week, Bild reported that earlier this year City offered Jesus to Bayern instead of Leroy Sane. 

But Jesus denied that report with a simple one-word comment on Instagram.

Real Madrid could upset city rivals Atlético by paying the release clause for goalkeeper Jan Oblak, according to El Desmarque.

The Slovenian is considered one of the best around in his position, and would be available for €120 million (£107m/$131m).

Barcelona could use Griezmann to sign Neymar


Barcelona could use new signing Antione Griezmann as part of a fresh bid to sign Neymar, if the Frenchman's relationship with Lionel Messi doesn't improve, according to Le 10 Sport.

There have been numerous reports this season that Messi and Griezmann don't see eye to eye, and Barcelona would be willing to solve the issue by offering the World Cup winner plus a fee in exchange for the PSG man.

Liverpool urged to sign Chilwell


Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted his side were interested in Leicester's Ben Chilwell after his friend David Wagner recommended the left-back.

Chilwell spent a few months on loan at Huddersfield during Wagner's first season with the Yorkshire club, and impressed enough for the German to recommend him to his compatriot.

"Dave Wagner was pretty much in my ear every day," said Klopp in a pre-match press conference ahead of his side's game against Leicester this weekend.

"But Leicester didn’t want to let him go, so he’s still there, which is good for him. He’s a grown-up player, he’s not a kid anymore, and football-wise, he’s exceptional."

Campbell interviewed for Southend job


Sol Campbell has been interviewed for League One side Southend United's managerial position, according to Sky Sports. 

The former Arsenal and Tottenham defender left his position in charge of League Two club Macclesfield earlier this season.

Former Manchester United and Celtic striker Henrik Larsson has also been interviewed for the Southend job.

Zappacosta injury could see him return to Chelsea


Chelsea full-back Davide Zappacosta's serious knee injury means his loan at Roma could be cut short, reports Sky

The 27-year-old joined Roma this summer on a six-month loan with an option for the Serie A side to extend the deal through the full season.

But with Zappacosta having suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament, he is now likely to return to Chelsea in January. 

Tagliafico reveals why he didn't join Atletico


Ajax left-back Nico Tagliafico has said he is comfortable at the club and didn't feel the need to force a move to Atletico Madrid this summer. 

"We decided to stay one further year and at the time it was the most convenient thing," the 27-year-old told Cadena COPE. 

"I didn't force the situation and with the club I decided to stay another year and we shall see next year."

Saint-Etienne have sacked Ghislain Printant and appointed Claude Puel as the club's manager.

Puel, who signed a contract with the Ligue 1 side though 2021-22, has been out of a job since leaving Leicester City last season.

The 58-year-old has also managed Moncao, Lyon, Lille, Nice and Southampton

Chelsea are in talks with Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori regarding fresh terms, reports the Evening Standard.

The Blues are eager to tie both of the Stamford Bridge academy graduates to new long-term contracts, ensuring that they are the ones to benefit from any future development.

Juventus looking to move three out in January


Juventus are looking to move three players out in January, claims Calciomercato, with Mario Mandzukic already being heavily linked with Manchester United.

The Bianconeri are also keen to get Marko Pjaca and Mattia Perin off their books, with potential buyers now being sought.

Haaland brands Man Utd transfer talk ‘f*cking boring’


Salzburg sensation Erling Haaland continues to spark talk of interest from Premier League giants such as Manchester United, but the teenage striker has branded the speculation “f*cking boring”.

He has told VG: “It's f*cking boring. I'm bored now. How bored on a scale of 1 to 10? 9.9.”

‘Ferguson will talk Man Utd into McGinn move’


Sir Alex Ferguson will try and talk Manchester United into making a move for John McGinn, says Bobby Jenks, the former Aston Villa scout who helped to bring the Scot to England.

He has told The Athletic: “What I do know is that Sir Alex Ferguson is wondering why Manchester United let a talented Scottish boy slip through. He’ll be keeping a close eye on him that’s for sure and if he continues the way he is, you can bet he’ll be telling his pals at United, too.”

Costa admits to tax offence


Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa has pleaded guilty to a tax offence, according to El Mundo.

He has accepted a six-month prison sentence, which will be substituted for a fine.

He has already paid back over €1.1m (£980,000/$1.2m) to the Spanish government but must pay around another €600,000.

Insigne and Ancelotti make peace at Napoli


Lorenzo Insigne and Carlo Ancelotti are on speaking terms again at Napoli, Corriere della Sera reports.

The relationship seemed to have hit a low when Insigne found himself in the stands to watch as his team drew 0-0 with Genk, but the pair have talked things over and the player is set to return to face Torino.

His long-term future, however, is less obvious.

Puel set to return to work


Former Southampton and Leicester boss Claude Puel will be named as Saint-Etienne's new head coach on Friday, RMC reports.

He will replace Ghislain Printant after the Ligue 1 side drew 1-1 with Wolfsburg and could be in charge for Sunday's derby against Lyon.

Earthquakes refute Almeyda rumours


The San Jose Earthquakes have refuted rumours that head coach Matias Almeyda has a release clause in his contract, the club said in a statement.

Almeyda has been linked with a move to Monterrey, but the Earthquakes insist that any move would not be a simple one.

"There has been no contact between C.F. Monterrey and the San Jose Earthquakes regarding Matias Almeyda. There is no clause in Matias Almeyda's contract that can be paid that will allow C.F. Monterrey to sign him."

Antuna signs Manchester City extension


Mexican winger Uriel Antuna has signed a contract extension with Manchester City, according to Fox Deportes.

Antuna is currently on loan with the LA Galaxy in MLS, but has signed a new deal with the Premier League champions through 2022.

The Mexican international has scored six goals while providing four assists for the Galaxy this season while also starring for El Tri at the Gold Cup.

Walker fears England career is over


Kyle Walker fears his England career may be over as Gareth Southgate opted not to select him once again.

According to the Daily Star, Walker believes that Southgate will continue to prefer Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kieran Trippier going forward.

As a result, the fullback is concerned that he will remain stuck on 48 caps despite being just 29 years old.

Leicester are interested in signing 15-year-old Turkish youngster Burak Ince, according to Fotospor via the Leicester Mercury.

The teenager, who has already broken into the first team at Turkish Second Division side Altinordu, would cost in the region of €1.5 million (£1.3m/$1.6m).

Manchester City, Lille and Freiburg are among a number of European clubs to be linked with the midfielder. 

Dest considering staying with USMNT


Ajax defender Sergino Dest is favouring the USMNT over the Netherlands as he considers his international future, reports CBS.

The 18-year-old has made two senior appearances for the USA but could still switch allegiances as they were not competitive internationals.

However, he is now ready to commit his future to Gregg Berhalter's side, with his main concern being the opportunity of regular playing time.

San Jose Earthquakes head coach Matias Almeyda has been linked with a move to  Liga MX outfit Monterrey, reports ESPN.

Almeyda revealed over the weekend that some members of his coaching staff had failed to settle in San Jose and were unhappy, prompting rumours of a return to Mexico.

The 45-year-old was appointed San Jose boss in October 2018, four months after after leaving Guadalajara.

Christian Eriksen's agent is due to hold further talks with Real Madrid this weekend as the Denmark forward looks to secure a January move away from Tottenham, according to the Star.

Eriksen is into the final 12 months of his contract in north London and January would be the final chance for Spurs to receive a fee for the 27-year-old.

The former Ajax midfielder expressed his desire to seek a new challenge at the start of the summer but no move materialised.
