Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws reports that the 17-year-old forward is on the verge of joining Club Brugge.
The report says Club Brugge will pay around five million euros to the German record champions in compensation, with Mike still officially under contract there until 2027. He is also said to have passed his medical on Monday and, in Bruges, looks set to go straight into the first team.
Recently, Bayern were said to prefer a loan move for the 17-year-old so he could get more game time. A sale, though, was not under consideration. It also remains unclear whether FCB have secured a buy-back clause as part of the transfer.
Back in March, Mike suffered a serious muscle injury to his left hip in training and was sidelined. He has been back in regular team training since mid-July, and most recently also joined the professionals' training camp at Tegernsee. He did not travel on the Asia tour, though. Instead, he trained with Dante's reserves to push forward his comeback without unnecessary strain.
At Bayern Munich, Mike is regarded as one of the club's biggest talents. Last summer, he stepped up to the first team alongside Lennart Karl, but unlike Karl, who is around six months older, he needed a little more time.
Then came Mike's Bundesliga debut against Werder Bremen last September, followed by four more appearances, and then the setback in March.
