The French player walked out of the "Santissima Annunziata" University Hospital of Sassari after a treatment journey lasting around two weeks, overcoming the most difficult phase since the incident.
It all dates back to 16 August, when Trépy nearly drowned in a swimming pool at a villa in the Baja Sardinia area, near the Costa Smeralda. Emergency teams reacted fast and airlifted him to hospital by helicopter. Without them, the consequences would have been catastrophic.
Doctors rushed the young forward straight into intensive care, where he spent 48 hours in a medically induced coma before waking up and beginning a gradual recovery. He was then moved to the pulmonology ward to complete his treatment, with medical staff insisting there was no significant physical damage.

Not a miracle: rather the work of an effective system
Professor Pietro Pirina, director of the clinical and interventional pulmonology department at the University Hospital of Sassari, delivered a moving verdict in a statement published by the "Sky Sport" network: "The patient is leaving hospital in a generally good clinical condition, after a treatment journey that showed a gradual and notable recovery."
He added: "The examinations carried out during his stay in hospital showed an improvement in his condition, which allowed us to plan his discharge with peace of mind. If some spoke in recent days of a miracle, we prefer to speak of the work of a system that has proven its effectiveness."

The rehabilitation phase begins
Trépy left the hospital accompanied by his mother, beaming, after bidding farewell to the medical staff and the general director and medical director of the hospital.
