Cristiano Ronaldo is back. The Al-Nassr captain returns to the squad having missed the start of the current 2026-2027 season.
Al-Nassr travel to Al-Riyadh today, Friday, at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in the second round of the Roshn League.
Australian head coach Ange Postecoglou named his starting line-up for the match, with Ronaldo on the substitutes' bench for the first time this season.
The Portuguese star sat out Al-Nassr's opening two fixtures: the 3-0 win over Al-Fateh in the first round of the Roshn League and the 4-1 victory against Al-Diriyah in the round of 32 of the King's Cup.
Saudi striker Abdullah Al-Hamdan again leads the Al-Nassr attack alongside Portugal's Joao Felix, backed by wingers Kingsley Coman of France and Senegal's Sadio Mane.
Postecoglou opted to rest French defender Mohamed Simakan and Portuguese midfielder Samu Costa, wary of fatigue amid the fixture pile-up early in the season.
In came defender Abdulelah Al-Amri to replace Simakan, partnering Spain's Inigo Martinez, with full-backs Nawaf Boushal and Salem Al-Najdi flanking them.
Abdullah Al-Khaibari takes over from Samu Costa in midfield, lining up next to Brazil's Angelo.
Al-Nassr sit second on 3 points after that three-goal win over Al-Fateh in the opening round. Al-Riyadh are down in 14th with nothing to show, having lost 4-2 to Al-Ettifaq.
Al-Nassr's line-up was as follows:
- Goalkeeper: Bento
- Defence: Nawaf Boushal - Abdulelah Al-Amri - Inigo Martinez - Salem Al-Najdi
- Midfield: Kingsley Coman - Abdullah Al-Khaibari - Angelo - Sadio Mane
- Attack: Joao Felix - Abdullah Al-Hamdan
