FC Porto are ready to push hard for Quinten Timber, Voetbal International reported on Monday. The Olympique Marseille midfielder is also attracting interest from Aston Villa and Crystal Palace. The French giants are prepared to let Timber leave.
Francesco Farioli is said to be a big admirer of Timber. The former Ajax coach watched the midfielder closely when the Netherlands international was still at Feyenoord.
Marseille are open to Timber leaving. They signed him from Feyenoord in January for €4.5 million. The club could do with the money after Pierre-Emile Højbjerg's move to Newcastle United collapsed, costing Marseille seventeen million euros.
The club did not take kindly to Højbjerg's refusal to move to England. Marseille's hierarchy stripped the Danish midfielder, who is under contract in southern France for two more seasons, of the captaincy.
