It's all square at the break between Brazil and Mexico at the Samara Arena. 14 mins: Mexico have started brightly this afternoon and are taking the game to Tite's men, who are struggling for rhythm.
13 mins: Vela's cross finds its way into the path of Herrera, but an awkward bounce of the ball takes it away from the midfield. Lozano keeps the attack alive by winning a corner for his team.

1 min: We're underway at the Samara Arena.
HERE WE GO...
5 mins until KO: The players are out on the pitch. It's time for the anthems.
8 mins until KO: Brazil are unbeaten in their last 14 games (W10 D4), with their last defeat dating back to June 2017 against Argentina (0-1).
10 mins until KO: Mexico have won none of their four previous games against Brazil at the World Cup (D1 L3). In fact, the Mexicans haven’t even scored a single goal in those four matches (11 conceded).
12 mins until KO: Mexico are without Hector Moreno in the middle of their defence after he picked up his second booking of the tournament during the defeat to Sweden. Ayala takes his place in the back four, while Marquez comes into the side to replace Layun in the middle of the park. His experience could be vital for El Tri this afternoon.
16 mins until KO: Marcelo has not been passed fit for this afternoon's contest after suffering back spasms in Brazil's win over Serbia. Filipe Luis comes into the side at left-back in place of the Real Madrid man. Other than that Tite has named the same side that defeated Serbia, keeping with the front three of Willian, Neymar and Jesus ahead of Firmino on the bench.
20 mins until KO: Mexico subs: Jesus Corona, Erick Gutierrez, Jonathan dos Santos, Miguel Layun, Marco Fabian, Raul Jimenez, Giovani dos Santos, Alfredo Talavera, Jesus Manuel Corona, Oribe Peralta, Javier Aquino.
20 mins until KO: MEXICO (4-3-3): Guillermo Ochoa; Edson Alvarez, Hugo Ayala, Carlos Salcedo, Jesus Gallerdo; Hector Herrera, Rafael Marquez, Andres Guardado; Carlos Vela, Javier Hernandez, Hirving Lozano.

24 mins until KO: Brazil and Mexico have met 40 times previously, with over half of those encounters ending in wins for the Selecao (W23 D7 L10).
26 mins until KO: Mexico's poor performance against Sweden almost cost them a place in the round-of-16. Had Germany beaten South Korea, El Tri would have been eliminated from the competition. Fortunately for Mexico, Die Mannschaft's late collapse allowed them to advance, although they're now staring down the prospect of a seventh-straight loss in the first knockout phase. Juan Carlos Osorio's men were outstanding in their opener against Germany and will need that level of performance this afternoon.
28 mins until KO: It took time for Brazil to kick into the gear at the 2018 World Cup, but Tite's men were impressive in their 2-0 win over Serbia last time out to secure top spot in Group E. However, they controlled the contest against the Serbs to advance into the round-of-16.
