Al Ahli have confirmed that their midfielder, Ali Awagi, will undergo a surgery on Monday morning.
The 27-year-old suffered an injury in his left leg joint during his team's game against city rivals, Al Ittihad, on Friday.
A temporary splint had been applied to Awagi and he's going to have a surgery at Aspetar in Doha.
Awagi was replaced in the Friday's game at 77 minutes. The club didn't give any further details about the period of time he would be sidelined.
