The Wrexham row continues! Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s club branded ‘stupid’ by Accrington Stanley chairman following ‘mistimed’ ticket prices statement

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Adult prices for home and away supporters were set at £25 for Accrington's League Two clash with the Red Dragons on Saturday at Wham Stadium - a £5 increase on the normal matchday admission.

    In response, the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned Welsh side took to social media on Saturday to pledge to reduce ticket prices by the same amount for the return fixture in May. As a result, Accrington chairman Andy Holt slammed Wrexham over this stance.

    Saturday morning, he tweeted on X, formerly Twitter: “When costs are already high @Wrexham_AFC the last thing football needs is stupid mistimed statements. It’s surprising how stupid given a former CEO of @EFL (Shaun Harvey) is employed by you. Let’s have a great day for all fans safely, whatever the outcome on the pitch. Welcome to @ASFCofficial.”
