Wrexham dealt huge injury blow! Josh Windass substituted early in West Brom defeat after appearing to pull his hamstring in first home game of Championship season
Wrexham fans face a worrying wait for news on Josh Windass after he lasted only 30 minutes of Saturday's defeat.
Windass pulled up half an hour into the defeat to West Bromwich Albion and was replaced by Nathan Broadhead. It appeared to be a hamstring issue, which doesn't bode well for his availability over the coming weeks.
"I haven't spoken to the physio yet," Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson said when he addressed the media after the game, confirming he would be doing shortly. "When a player pulls up like that, it's not good."

WHAT NEXT FOR WINDASS & WREXHAM?
Depending on the exact severity of the hamstring issue, Windass could be facing anything from a week or two on the sidelines, to several months. Given the impact the attacking midfielder has made during his short spell so far, it is a big setback for a club hovering above the Championship relegation zone on goal difference alone after back-to-back defeats.
