Everton would prefer to part with other assets, such as Belgian midfielder Amadou Onana, but Branthwaite’s stock continues to rise – as he attracts admiring glances from across Europe – and the Merseyside outfit may be left with no option but to cash in before the latest financial cycle ends for Premier League clubs.
