‘I love this feeling!’ - Why Cristiano Ronaldo won’t stop any time soon as all-time great closes on 1,000 appearances & 750 goals at club level

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was back on target in Al-Nassr’s latest fixture, with the Portuguese superstar reaching 740 goals in total across his club career. He has 25 in the current campaign, through just 27 appearances, with the all-time great proving to be as prolific as ever in the Middle East.

Ronaldo enjoys every goal he scores, with his famous ‘Siuuuuu’ celebration getting another airing against Al-Riyadh. In a warning to the defenders that are charged with the task of trying to contain him, Ronaldo has said on social media when posting a video of his latest strike: “I love this feeling.”

While closing in on 750 goals at club level, Ronaldo is also within touching distance of 1,000 appearances. He has already passed both of those marks when his international exploits are factored into the equation, with record-breaking tallies of 205 caps and 128 goals posted with Portugal – as they count down the days to Euro 2024.

Ronaldo and Al-Nassr are in danger of missing out on the Saudi Pro League title this season, but they will be in knockout action on Monday when facing Al-Shabab in the King Cup of Champions quarter-finals. With more honours to chase down, and having hinted at playing on into his 40s, retirement would appear to remain a long way off for CR7.
