After being brought on just before the hour mark in place of Fabio Miretti, the USMNT star put his body on the line with a perfectly timed sliding challenge to dispossess Cancellieri in a one-on-one situation with just a few minutes remaining on the clock.

Although Weah has struggled to nail down a starting berth under Massimiliano Allegri, he has been able to make a significant impact after coming off the bench. The winger created a massive chance in the 77th minute against Empoli after he drilled in a cross and added more intensity into the attack as Juventus kept pushing for the winner.

Juventus will next face Inter on February 4 in a top-of-the-table clash at San Siro. Weah, along with USMNT team-mate Weston McKennie, will be eager to inspire Juve to the three points, as the match result could potentially have a big impact on who wins this season's Scudetto.
