Hugo Broos has seemingly kissed and made up with his employer, the South African Football Association after they dropped a bombshell about a potential divorce from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. Broos said he was ready to pack his bags and leave but has now toned down on his potential departure. The accomplished tactician was also <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-za/lists/hugo-broos-to-dump-bafana-bafana-belgian-coach-in-talks-for-club-brugge-return-report/blte1823c178681be45" target="_blank">recently linked with his former club, Club Brugge with the Belgian giants reportedly keen to appoint him as their technical director</a>.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Broos joined Bafana in 2021 and his contract is set to expire in 2026, and during his spell, he has struggled to have his meeting with all PSL coaches and resorted to meeting with some coaches individually. Given Broos' age, 71, Bafana might be Broos' last job as a head coach as word has it that the offers tabled for him are for technical advisor roles.However, given the magnitude and experience of the Belgian mentor, he could spring a surprise and land a gig from a top nation or club.
