VIDEO: Mary Earps shows off impressive footwork as Lionesses goalkeeper offers glimpse into her first day of PSG training

The Euro 2022 winner is taking on a new challenge in France after bidding farewell to Manchester United as a free agent. Earps has spent much of her senior career to date turning out in the WSL, but also has a stint in Germany with Wolfsburg on her CV.

She is now back in continental Europe, with the brave decision taken to step out of her professional comfort zone. Two-time FIFA Best Women’s Goalkeeper Earps is eager to add to a medal collection at club level that includes an FA Cup triumph from 2023-24.

Earps’ shot-stopping ability will be put to the test at PSG, but she has been showing useful ability with her feet. The 31-year-old did not need to don a pair of gloves when being put through her paces in Paris, with the Lionesses star posting on Instagram: “First day, and it was well ‘ot mate.”

Earps will need to hit the ground running in the French capital as she faces fierce competition for places when it comes to England’s No.1 berth, with Hannah Hampton also looking to become Sarina Wiegman’s first choice between the sticks at next summer’s European Championship.
