Upon getting in a taxi from Incheon International Airport, Lingard looked slightly perplexed after being handed a danso, a traditional Korean wind instrument used primarily in folk music.

The midfielder tailed off during his latter years at United and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/no-man-utd-goals-or-assists-in-2019---why-is-jesse-lingard-still-a-starter/tsd6hsqibool1n9nunexb914k" target="_blank">famously went through 2019 without registering a goal or assist</a>. He enjoyed a mini-resurgence at West Ham in 2021 but couldn't live up to that billing at Forest, becoming a free agent in the summer until this imminent FC Seoul transfer.
