The European season is moving closer to its end, and U.S. Women's National Team players continue to stand out for some of the continent's biggest clubs.
Alyssa Thompson delivered one of the clearest statements of the weekend. The Chelsea winger started in a narrow 1-0 win over Manchester United and Phallon Tullis-Joyce, another reminder that she is becoming an increasingly important piece for the Blues at a time when their attack is shifting. In France, Lindsey Heaps kept doing what she has done all season, scoring again in OL Lyonnes' 8-0 win over Nantes, while Lily Yohannes was involved throughout as OL recorded 27 shots.
Sam Coffey, meanwhile, did not play in Manchester City's 4-1 win over West Ham after undergoing minor knee surgery, but the weekend still had plenty of USWNT influence across Europe. Emily Fox helped Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-1, and the bigger-picture stakes are only growing, with the UEFA Women's Champions League final set for May 23 and the FA Cup final following on May 31.
GOAL takes a closer look at how the USWNT's top players performed in Europe over the weekend.
