USMNT star Tim Weah is back for Juventus! Wingback expected to make first Serie A start since October vs Roma

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Weah, after a positive showing off the bench against Frosinone, he will be selected by Massimiliano Allegri against Roma on Saturday. The USMNT star combined with Weston McKennie for the game-winning assist in their 2-1 victory, putting him back on the radar of the Juve boss.

Weah has not started for the Bianconeri since October, where he left the match against Hellas Verona due to injury. After nearly two months on the sideline, he returned from injury on December 15 against Genoa and then followed it up with another bench cameo at the weekend. Now, after playing in two-straight matches, he's set to earn his first start for Allegri since suffering his setback.

Weah played for PSG in 2018 alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, scoring two goals in six appearances.

The Old Lady take on Jose Mourinho and Roma on Saturday, with a clash of Serie A heavyweights taking center stage. Weah's side are 12-points clear of the Giallorossi, but both currently occupy a slot in European competition next season based on the standings. Juve will look to close the gap on first-place Inter.
