Tyler Adams is on his way back! USMNT star’s return date revealed as Bournemouth owner describes injury timetable and current training regiment for midfielder

Adams suffered a lengthy injury for Leeds United last Spring, moving to Bournemouth over the summer despite the knock. However, on his return to the pitch for the Cherries in September in a 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Stoke City, he re-aggravated the injury, forcing another spell on the sidelines. As a result, he underwent surgery and has remained in rehab since.

“He’s now running. He’s not really I’d say exercising hard, but he’s back running.” Foley, told CBS Sports, while also providing an expected return date, saying: ”And we think by the end of February-early March he’s gonna be on the pitch and I look forward to it.”

With Adams in the mix, the already over-impressive Cherries get even better. The USMNT's best midfielder and their captain was the talisman of the Leeds midfield prior to injury, and many regard their relegation due to not having a like-for-like replacement for him over the final three months of the campaign. The Cherries sit 12th in the Premier League, just nine points out of Europe.

The Cherries return to Premier League action on January 21, when they take on Premier League leaders Liverpool. Then, it's just a wait of between one and two months for Adams, who will likely immediately compete for starting minutes when he is fit.
