Former Colorado Rapids head coach Robin Fraser is set to be the next head coach for Toronto, according to GiveMeSport. He'll take over a club that finished 11th in the Eastern Conference last season, continuing a postseason-less run that dates back to 2020.
Toronto FC parted ways with John Herdman this offseason after just one year in charge, continuing a chaotic coaching cycle since that 2020 season. Fraser is set to become the club's fourth full-time head coach in that span, following Chris Armas, Bob Bradley and, most recently, Herdman.
Fraser reportedly beat out former Portland Timbers boss Gio Savarese for the role, with those two being seen as the club's top two candidates throughout the hiring process.
Prior to accepting the TFC job, Fraser was also interviewed by both the New England Revolution and San Jose Earthquakes.
