Todd Boehly in the house! Chelsea's American owner to make rare appearance for Carabao Cup final against Liverpool

Boehly has hardly been to Chelsea's games this season. He last visited Stamford Bridge during the home victory over Fulham on January 13 since he was in London to promote the film Argylle, in which he was involved. Notably, he was absent during Chelsea's semi-final second-leg triumph over Middlesbrough, which secured their place in the final. But, according to The Telegraph,Boehly could be present in the VIP box at Wembley when the Blues take on Liverpool in the League Cup title decider.

Boehly, who serves as chairman of Chelsea, has taken a step back from active involvement this season, following an initially hands-on approach. Whereas, Eghbali has maintained a more visible presence and has remained heavily involved in the club's football operations.

The Carabao Cup final presents an opportunity for Boehly and Eghbali to witness Chelsea potentially clinch their first trophy under their ownership. A victory against Liverpool would not only secure Chelsea's qualification to next season's Europa Conference League but also break the club's Wembley curse, which has seen them lose in their last six visits to the stadium.

Winning the Carabao Cup would alleviate some of the pressure on Boehly and Eghbali, who have faced criticism for their lack of patience over managerial appointments. Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea's current head coach, marks the fourth managerial appointment since they took over from former owner Roman Abramovich.
