  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Gonzalo Pereyra was the first River Plate star to see the red card for kicking Ruben López in the face in the 35th minute, following an aerial challenge. Cirilo Pereyra was then shown his second yellow card of the match in the second half, before Emiliano Quevado was sent off in the 79th minute for a rough challenge on Yeremaiah Ramos, according to ESPN.

    The Spanish side won the game 2-0 courtesy of goals from Mateo Garrido and Bryan Bugarin. The win at Cordoba helped them to reach the last-four stage, where they join Barcelona, Palmeiras and Racing Club.
