Ted Lasso Season 4 ‘hasn't become real yet’ to leading star as Roy Kent & Co wait on call from American coach

Green lights are said to have been given for the award-winning Apple TV+ show to return. Lead actor and show writer Jason Sudeikis is seemingly back on board, with Ted Lasso reportedly ready to “self reboot” as emotional and humorous storylines are taken in a different direction.

Goldstein, who plays foul-mouthed former-player-turned-pundit Kent, is expected to be front and centre when the cameras start rolling again and more tales are told in the world of AFC Richmond. He has, however, been giving little away when probed on the subject of a new series.

That remains the case with no definitive production date pencilled in, with Goldstein telling Collider after being quizzed on when a long-awaited return for Ted Lasso will start to feel real: “I don’t know. It hasn’t become real yet. I can’t answer that. I’ll let you know when I know.”

He added when asked what he will be looking forward to most if Ted Lasso is to return to streaming services across the globe in the not too distant future: “Hang out with Phoebe.” That is Roy’s niece in the show, with the pair enjoying an almost father-daughter relationship.

While Goldstein is playing cards close to his chest, it has been suggested that work on Ted Lasso Season 4 could begin in late spring/early summer of 2025. Several leading members of cast and crew have aired their excitement at getting back to work.
