  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Reims did the unthinkable on Sunday as they managed to hold a much stronger Paris Saint-Germain side to a 2-2 draw at Parc des Princes. The visitors took an early lead against the run of play but Luis Enrique's side responded soon by scoring two quick goals. At the stroke of halftime, striker Ousmane Diakite cleverly beat the PSG high line and netted the equalising goal.

Desperate for a third goal, Enrique decided to make three attacking changes as he introduced Randal Kolo Muani, Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele in the final 20 minutes of the game.

  • WHAT WILL STILL SAID

When Reims manager Still was asked about his plan after the PSG trio took the field, the Belgian told Prime Video, "When they come into play? You squeeze your butt tight and you hope... No, I'm joking! (Laughs) We thought they were going to start. We had a plan, an idea in mind before the match. So we don't have to change too much.

"We have to stay disciplined. Come and split (on the) side when it comes to one-on-one so as not to experience this kind of situation. We have to maintain discipline and organization. Always have the idea of pushing as soon as a back pass is given, we have to push, push, gain meters and try to stay as organized as possible."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Mercurial French winger Mbappe did not make it to Enrique's starting lineup for the third time since the news of him leaving the club for Real Madrid in the summer became public. There have been rumours of trouble brewing between the player and the manager, although the 25-year-old has refuted such claims.
