Sergio Ramos set for sensational return as Argentine giants Boca Juniors line up offer for legendary ex-Real Madrid and Spain defender

The veteran Spanish defender has been without a club since the end of the 2023-24 season when he left Sevilla after his contract ended. He was briefly linked with a return to Real Madrid after Eder Militao picked up a long-term injury, but Los Blancos were quick to reject the rumours.

Per TYC Sports, the 38-year-old could finally return to action in 2025 as Boca Juniors are reportedly preparing an ambitious move to bring the legendary defender to Argentina in January 2025. While there has been no concrete offer from the club yet, the report claims that president Juan Roman Riquelme is ready to call Ramos with a formal offer soon.

If the ex-Madrid star decides to make a sensational move to the South American nation, he will have an opportunity to take part in the FIFA Club World Cup in the summer of 2025 where Boca have been clubbed in Group C alongside Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, Auckland City and Benfica.

The Argentina giants, who are currently sixth in their league, will be back in action on Saturday as they take on Independiente at home.
