Saudi Arabia's next big signing? PSG ready to cash in on captain Marquinhos this summer despite run to Champions League semi-finals as Luis Enrique continues squad rebuild
Paris Saint-Germain could end their 12-year association with Brazilian centre-back Marquinhos, who has long been on the radar of Saudi Arabian clubs.
According to a report from L'Equipe (h/t Get French Football News), Paris Saint-Germain are ready to offload club captain Marquinhos this summer if the right offer arrives. The 30-year-old has been on the radar of Saudi Arabian clubs since last summer, and the interest has only grown in the past year, the report adds.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Marquinhos was heavily pursued by Saudi clubs last summer but showed loyalty to PSG and stayed put at the Parc des Princes. However, interest from the Gulf State has only intensified in recent months - and PSG’s stance has shifted. Once considered indispensable, the Ligue 1 champions are now reportedly open to letting the Brazilian leave in the upcoming transfer window as they continue to rebuild the squad with Luis Enrique at the helm.
DID YOU KNOW?
PSG have recently been linked with a move for Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate. The Frenchman's contract at Anfield expires at the end of next season and with there having not been a breakthrough in renewal talks, the Ligue 1 champions want to capitalise. If Konate doesn't extend his contract, the Reds will look to cash in on him this summer to avoid losing him for free next year.
