'Lashing cash around' - Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney targeted by Accrington Stanley chairman Andy Holt again as rivalries are renewed after ticket price furore

Holt tweeted a screenshot of a GOAL headline detailing Wrexham winger Ryan Barnett's quest for revenge after the Red Dragons lost the fiery reverse fixture 2-0. Barnett criticised Accrington Stanley for their wild celebrations in that game and claimed him and his team-mates wanted to ensure they were not on the losing side again. Clearly riled by Barnett's claim, Holt highlighted the contrasting riches between the teams and claimed that he expects Wrexham's celebrations to be loud enough to hear from Hollywood should they get the victory Barnett so craves.

Posting on X, Holt took aim at Wrexham, writing: "If Wrexham's team with the highest budget manage to beat us with the lowest, I fully expect to hear the cheers from Hollywood. That’s good. It’s what footballs about. Lashing cash around to try to beat Accrington Stanley. Cheering mightily when you win. By the way. I didn’t put anything out first this time, same as last time when your director tweeted his rubbish just before kick-off."

Holt resumed fierce rivalries with the Red Dragons having claimed he can 'charge what he wants' after increasing ticket prices by £5 ahead of the 2-0 victory back in November. Wrexham responded to the price increase by tweeting that they would cut the prices for the reverse fixture by the same amount, which prompted Holt's response. Now, ahead of the eagerly awaited rematch, Holt has added fuel to the fire once again in an attempt to stir his financial underdogs on to yet another upset.

Saturday's clash represents a must-win game for Wrexham, not just for the bragging rights, but in the hunt to achieve automatic promotion. Wrexham sit three points off second-placed Stockport and can take advantage of their promotion rivals' game against Colchester United being postponed.
