There are said to be no guarantees that Paris Saint-Germain exiting the Champions League would mean Mbappe doing likewise at Parc des Princes.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

PSG are still <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/loves-club-psg-positive-kylian-mbappe-future-real-madrid-links-expiring-contract/blt553b7e4cd2d8b1e9" target="_blank">hoping that Mbappe can be talked into penning fresh terms</a>. While he has not taken up an extension option, a completely new contract is in the pipeline. That deal would be considerably longer than the two-year one that was agreed back in May 2022.
