Blow for Real Madrid! Eduardo Camavinga ruled out for rest of year after suffering knee injury with France

The France international was injured in training, as he was inadvertently hurt by Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembele. Camavinga has subsequently undergone tests and Relevo reports that the 21-year-old will be absent until 2024, with seven games set to take place between now and the New Year.

The youngster has been exceptional for Real this season and offers an option for Carlo Ancelotti in both midfield and at left-back. He has made 17 appearances in all competitions thus far this season. His loss will therefore be sorely felt, especially considering the injury to fellow defensive midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, who is expected to be out for six weeks.

Real have some difficult fixtures coming up; before the turn of the year, they will play Cadiz, Granada, Real Betis, Villarreal, and Alaves in La Liga before 2024. They also face Napoli and Union Berlin in the Champions League.

Real face Cadiz this weekend. France, in the meantime, will play Gibraltar and Greece without Camavinga.
