Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti reveals key difference between La Liga and Premier League as Los Blancos continue their title surge

Ancelotti, one of Europe's most successful coaches, was quizzed about the difference between the Premier League and La Liga, following Los Blancos' convincing win over Celta Vigo on Sunday. The Italian manager has won major trophies in both leagues.

In a post match press conference, Ancelotti compared the two top flights: "It’s different. This doesn’t mean better or worse. There are less tactics. On a tactical level, La Liga is much better than the English one. If we talk about intensity, rhythm, the English league may have more. But the Spanish has more tactical quality."

Ancelotti's Madrid side have pulled away in La Liga this season, after trailing to surprise contenders Girona early on. Their 4-0 win over Celta extended their unbeaten run to 22 games.

The Italian boss is the only manager to have won a league title in all of Europe's major leagues, having bagged winner's medals for Chelsea, Milan, PSG, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The Madrid boss will be at the helm as his side take on Osasuna in La Liga on March 16. They will return to action after the international break on March 31.
