Rasmus Hojlund to AC Milan potentially back on as Victor Boniface's transfer to San Siro from Bayer Leverkusen falls through due to failed medical

Rasmus Hojlund's proposed move to AC Milan from Manchester United could be back on after Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface failed his medical at San Siro. Boniface will now be staying at Leverkusen, which opens the door for Milan to reignite their interest in Hojlund.

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    According to Fabrizio Romano, Boniface will head back to Germany after failing to pass his medical AC Milan. The Italian club had agreed to sign the Nigeria international for a €5 million (£4.3m/$5.8m) loan fee and a €24m buy clause, but the deal is now off the table.

    Boniface's failed transfer to San Siro could give fresh hope to out-of-favour United striker Rasmus Hojlund, who has also been strongly linked with a move to AC Milan. Hojlund, who is part of Ruben Amorim's 'bomb squad', is being tipped to leave Old Trafford before the summer transfer window slams shut.
