PSG player ratings vs Nantes: Randal Kolo Muani gets his moment! Big-money signing downs his former club with late winner to spare Parisian blushes

Finally, Randal Kolo Muani got his moment. The French striker, bought at the request of Kylian Mbappe, hasn't quite settled in Paris — and was awaiting a signature goal in the capital. On Saturday evening, it arrived, the former Nantes striker scoring in the 85th minute to give his new team a 2-1 win.

A much-changed PSG side lacked its usual cutting edge, but an opener from the impressive Bradley Barcola, and second from Kolo Muani, did enough to cancel out a well-worked Nantes goal in between the two.

Barcola woke the game up for the Parisians. The winger, making just his fifth Ligue 1 start, bagged his first PSG goal in style, with a fine curled effort across the Nantes goalkeeper to give his side an advantage shortly before half time. But the visitors responded after the break. Mostafa Mohamed provided it, meeting a corner at the near post with a drilled headed effort.

The Parisians toiled for long stretches after that. They struggled to create in the final third, while the substitutes didn't offer much, either. But then, Kolo Muani had his say. His finish wasn't a technical one — just the poke of an alert striker to hand his team three points when it seemed a frustrating draw was looming.

Asensio should have put the contest beyond doubt, but shanked an effort over the bar. Still, it mattered little, as Luis Enrique's side snatched what could be an important win.
