  • WHAT HAPPENED?

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Parisian club reached a verbal agreement with Zabarnyi’s camp regarding salary and a five-year deal well before formal negotiations with Bournemouth started. Now, they have decided to match the €70 million (£60.5m/$80m) valuation demanded by the Cherries.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

French outlet RMC Sport has also reported that several top-tier clubs, including Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, are prepared to meet Bournemouth's asking price for Zabarnyi. However, the Ukrainian international has his heart set on a move to the French capital and is not entertaining alternative offers.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Zabarnyi’s potential arrival at the Parc des Princes is expected to trigger a chain reaction within PSG's current defensive roster. Reports suggest that Brazilian defender Lucas Beraldo has requested a transfer, and the club has agreed to grant his departure on the condition that a suitable replacement is secured first. With Zabarnyi set to fill that gap, Beraldo’s exit could proceed once the Ukrainian officially signs.
