THE BIGGER PICTURE
Luis Enrique has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell in charge of PSG since being appointed in July 2023. After winning the league and cup double in his first season at the helm, the former Barcelona and Spain boss led the French giants to a historic treble last season - with a 5-0 victory over Inter securing an elusive first Champions League crown in May. PSG also lifted the UEFA Super Cup in August after defeating Tottenham Hotspur 4-3 on penalties after coming back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw in normal time.
Next up for PSG is a home clash against Lens in Ligue 1 on September 14. They will then get the defence of their Champions League title under way when they play host to Serie A side Atalanta on September 17.
