Bellingham opened the scoring against Girona as he pounced on a loose clearance and slammed an effort into the bottom corner. His strike makes it five La Liga games in a row in which he has found the net; he also scored against Osasuna, Leganes, Getafe and Athletic Club.

Madrid have not had a player hit the net in five conescutive games since Benzema did so in 2020-21. In total, the England international has five goals and registered five assists in all competitions, although he has yet to score a goal in the Champions League.

The 21-year-old has made 17 appearances this term and remains a key cog in Carlo Ancelotti's Madrid machine. They have been in stuttering form, though, and have already tasted defeat five times in both La Liga and the Champions League.
