Portugal Under-15s hammered Japan 4-1 in their first game at the Vlatko Markovic Tournament in Croatia on Tuesday. Ronaldo Jr, also known as 'Cristianinho', was included in the matchday squad but did not make it to the starting lineup. The Al-Nassr youth team star finally got a chance to make his international debut in the second half when he came on as a substitute, replacing Abdu Cassama.

Al-Nassr superstar Ronaldo's mother, Maria Dolores Aveiro, who regularly watches her son play live at stadiums, was in attendance at Sveti Martin Na Muri to watch her grandson play. Ahead of the match, the 70-year-old posted on Instagram, "Good luck to Portugal (under 15)."

Proud dad Ronaldo was quick to post a message of congratulations on social media. He wrote: "Congratulations on your debut for Portugal, son. Very proud of you!"

WHAT NEXT FOR CRISTIANO RONALDO?
The Portugal icon missed his club's 9-0 drubbing of Al Akhdoud on Monday, but he is expected to return to action in the team's upcoming Saudi Pro League game against Al-Taawoun on May 16. Meanwhile, his son is set to face Greece and England with the Under-15s as the tournament continues.
