    The Chicago Sky chose the Brazil native third overall in the WNBA draft Monday evening, with the South Carolina star being named their newest player. After her selection, she was brought over to a screen, where she was shown the message from the Brazil legend.

    The 38-year-old veteran said that 'all of Brazil' is watching her and are 'proud' of her achievements at the collegiate level.

    Cardoso won an NCAA Women's title with the Gamecocks this season, defeating Caitlin Clark's Iowa in the national championship game. The 6-foot-7 center is one of the top prospects in all of women's basketball, but she admitted in the clip that she's been a 'big fan' of Marta her entire life, even being brought to tears by the gesture.
