  • Roshn League: three rounds postponed because of the national team

The Roshn League association have rescheduled the eighth, ninth and tenth rounds of the competition, granting a request to extend the preparation window for the Saudi national team ahead of the "Gulf 27" tournament. The move also factors in rest periods between matches and the players' fitness.

Under the new schedule, the eighth round moves to 9-11 October, having previously been set for 17-19 September. The ninth round now runs from 15 to 17 October instead of 9 to 11 October, while the tenth round shifts to 18-20 October rather than 15-17 October.

Organisers have also pushed back the start of the eleventh round to 23 October instead of 22 October, again to preserve the rest periods between matches.

Al-Hilal face Al-Ittihad in the Clasico at the "Kingdom Arena" in the eighth round. Al-Ahli then meet Al-Nassr at the "Al-Inma" stadium in the ninth round, before Al-Nassr take on Neom in the tenth.

The association pledged to keep coordinating with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation to align the Roshn League calendar with the national team's needs, striking a balance between the demands of the competition and preparation for international commitments.

  • King's Cup: new dates for the decisive stages

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation have confirmed the schedule for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup. The round of 16 will be played on 30 November and 1 December 2026.

Quarter-final ties follow on 22 and 23 February 2027, with the semi-finals set for 4 and 5 May 2027. Each stage's fixtures will be confirmed once the previous round is complete.

  • The Super Cup: settled before the end of the year

The Football Federation also confirmed the official dates for the Saudi Super Cup. The semi-finals will take place on 19 and 20 December 2026, with the final following on 23 December.

These changes hand clubs a clearer picture of the season ahead. With so many domestic competitions and international commitments crowding the calendar, the aim is to strike a better balance between fixture congestion and the needs of the players and the Saudi national team.
