Newcastle and Nottingham Forest given big boost in race to sign Luis Henrique as Inter fail to match Marseille asking price for Bayern Munich target

Inter had been considered one of the top candidates to sign the Brazilian winger from the Ligue 1 side, but Tuttomercatoweb reports that the Serie A side are not willing to meet their asking price, reportedly around €35 million (£30m/$39m).

The Nerazzurri's reluctance to match that figure could open the way for other interested teams to swoop in and snap up the 23-year-old. Newcastle and Forest are both interested in signing him and would have little trouble paying what Marseille want.

The Premier League teams still have some strong competition to contend with, though, as Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen have both been linked with the former Botafogo star who arrived in France five years ago.

Forest sit third in the Premier League while Newcastle sit fifth, with both teams aiming to secure a place in the Champions League next season. Sealing a spot in the competition could be key to their hopes of luring Luis Henrique to England.
