Newcastle record signing Nick Woltemade labelled a 'true gentleman' by popular city restaurant Khai Khai as towering striker immediately starts endearing himself to Tyneside locals
Newcastle United's record summer signing Nick Woltemade has been labelled a "true gentleman" after a visit to the popular city restaurant Khai Khai. The German forward, who was linked with Bayern Munich for a large part of the summer transfer window, eventually swapped Stuttgart for the Magpies last month in a deal worth up to £69 million ($93m).
Woltemade has travelled back to the UK after featuring for Germany in the World Cup qualifiers. Upon his return, the striker has started endearing himself to Tyneside locals, with the 23-year-old taking in a dinner trip to popular city restaurant Khai Khai. The restaurant in turn, called the Germany international a "true gentleman" and thanked him for gracing their establishment.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID
Khai Khai shared a post on Instagram, where one of their staff members stood beside Woltemade and took a photograph. In the caption, they wrote: "It was an absolute pleasure to welcome our record signing, German International @nickwoltemade - a true gentleman! Welcome to Newcastle and our great football club. Go make your dreams, we’re with you all the way."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Woltemade and Yoane Wissa were brought in during the summer window after Alexander Isak publicly expressed his desire to leave Newcastle and even went on a strike to force a move. The star striker eventually secured his dream transfer to Liverpool on deadline day. The Magpies will hope that the two new signings will help them fill the vacuum that has been created in their attack following Isak's departure.
