Man City worker 'removed' after being spotted wearing Man Utd shirt while serving pints on derby day at the Etihad Stadium

Manchester City were forced to take action after a worker was spotted wearing a Manchester United shirt while serving pints at the Etihad Stadium on derby day. A fan on social media shared the image of the member of staff and brought it to the club's attention, and City swiftly 'removed' the person from their position. On the pitch, the Cityzens demolished their rivals 3-0 courtesy of a brace from Erling Haaland.

A fan named Stuart brought the incident to City's attention by posting an image of the employee wearing a United t-shirt while serving pints to the fans on derby day. He wrote on X: "Absolute joke @ManCity - letting one of the bar staff in block 315 wear a United shirt on Derby Day."

City's prompt action
The club took notice of the X post and quickly removed the person from their station in the stadium. In response to the irked supporter, they wrote: "Thank you for making us aware of this. We can confirm that this individual has now been removed from their position."
