Man Utd to face more transfer disappointment?! Milan open talks with Brighton over Pervis Estupinan deal this summer despite Red Devils interest

AC Milan have opened early negotiations with Brighton to explore a possible move for Estupinan, as per journalist Matteo Moretto. The Italian club contacted the Seagulls to understand the conditions of a potential transfer. Talks are still at a preliminary stage, with no official bid submitted yet for the Ecuadorian.

Estupinan has emerged as Milan’s priority at left-back following Hernandez’s €25 million (£23m/$30m)) move to Al-Hilal. The Ecuadorian has been a consistent performer for Brighton, notching 11 assists in 84 Premier League games. With Manchester United also showing interest, Milan are looking to act swiftly to secure his signature.

Estupinan, who also impressed previously at Villarreal, is under contract at Brighton until 2026. Milan are said to admire his attacking output and believe he fits the club’s long-term vision. While United have held talks with the player's camp, Milan’s direct approach to Brighton could give them an edge.

AC Milan are expected to intensify discussions in the coming days and could table an offer if talks progress positively. Brighton are reportedly open to selling Estupinan after signing Maxim De Cuyper as his possible successor. United, meanwhile, may need to look elsewhere if Milan accelerate the deal.
