Man Utd sensationally told to bring Jose Mourinho back for FA Cup final clash against Man City as ex-Premier League star claims players are 'done' with Erik ten Hag

The Red Devils’ current boss has fallen under even more pressure after overseeing a humbling 4-0 defeat at Crystal Palace. That demoralising loss has left United sat eighth in the Premier League table with three games left to take in.

It was already being suggested that Ten Hag is on borrowed time, with a managerial change being lined up for the summer, but that process could be accelerated as United’s collection of so-called stars face accusations of downing tools.

Former Premier League star Jamie O’Hara believes the time has come for change, with the ex-Tottenham and Wolves midfielder suggesting that an SOS call needs to be sounded to a former boss with a track record of delivering major honours. He has told talkSPORT, with United preparing to face arch-rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final on May 25: “I think they should get on the phone to Mourinho. Give it to Mourinho for a couple of weeks. Why not? A chance to win a trophy... they ain't winning it with Ten Hag, forget about that. They're done.”

Ten Hag told talkSPORT when asked about his position on the back of a forgettable evening at Selhurst Park: “I don't think about this. I have to prepare the team, we have huge problems so if I worry about my future... it's not about me, it's about the team and the club. You see the fans are backing us so they deserve a team that has energy.”

United are already being linked with Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel, who has prior experience of life in England from a Champions League-winning spell at Chelsea, while Portuguese tactician Mourinho – who won three trophies with United between 2016 and 2018 – is currently out of work.
